Hey, I'm Nathan.

Software engineer with a background in legal tech, fintech, and medical research. WashU CS + Math grad. I like solving hard problems and making things that matter.

When I'm not writing code, I'm probably reading, playing video games, or deep in a niche YouTube documentary.

A bit about me

I studied computer science and math at Washington University in St. Louis, graduating summa cum laude with a 4.0. Before I got into software full-time, I spent time in neuroscience research -- using machine learning to help diagnose cerebral palsy in children and studying the effects of prenatal stress on newborn brains.

That research taught me something I still carry: the best technical work happens when you're deeply connected to the problem you're solving. Most recently I've been building legal tech -- case management systems, workflow automations, and tools that serve dozens of attorneys and thousands of plaintiffs across the country. Before that, I was at Capital One working on cloud systems at scale.

Outside of work, I'm currently reading my way through a growing book list and decorating a new apartment from scratch -- ask me what I'm reading or what I just hung on the wall.
